All About Me
Living in NYC is hard as a golfer, I have limited space and limited options to play golf. Since I’m dedicated to the sport, I spend lots of time practicing in my small backyard but that brings challenges and broken windows so I spend lots of time with First Tee, Metropolitan NY Chapter at Mosholu Golf Course in the Bronx, NY.
I’ve been with First Tee of Metropolitan NY for a few years now and it has changed my life. It has given me purpose and I’ve realized my love for the game. First Tee also introduced me to the caddie world. In 2022, I was nominated as an Evans Scholar and started caddying at North Hempstead CC in Long Island, NY. Although the course was located very far from home, I was dedicated to the challenge and loved it. My coach, Anthony Rodriguez recommended me
for these programs because of my dedication and outgoing personality. First Tee has helped me develop my self-confidence. I am not a shy person, and love to meet new people and learn about their lives and different backgrounds. As a dual citizen of the U.S. and Italy and growing up in the most culturally diverse place in the world, Queens, NY, I can truly say I appreciate and love cultural diversity. I was also a selected member of the Sankaty Head Caddie Program in Nantucket, Massachusetts, where I spent two entire summers hard at work as a distinguished caddie.
I am a skilled golfer and can provide great conversation and a successful day on the course. Although I am out-going and talkative, I take my caddie job very seriously and can read players through their personality and emotions, so I know how to react and help them with their game. To be a successful caddie you need strong leadership skills, which I had the chance to develop at the First Tee National Innovators Forum, that I was selected to attend in Jacksonville, Florida. I learned so much about leadership and the importance of serving my community. This Forum lead me to be the founder of a program with the NYPD, called Masters At The Playground focused on cleaning up local playgrounds and bringing simple golf lessons to underserved communities.
I have only been playing golf for a few years, but during that time I have learned a lot about the game, been greatly inspired and developed my self confidence both on and off the course.how Most importantly, I learned a lot about myself and others and realized I have so much to learn.
